Beaufort Interiors was established in October 1981. The business started when founder Ruth Wilson began making curtains, then visiting international trade shows and opening Northern Ireland’s first trade accounts with major design houses, quickly gaining a thriving customer base. The focus of our craftspeople and technical staff has remained as the production of high-quality bespoke window dressings and soft furnishings.
The iconic building in Moira was purchased in 1989 and it continues to house the design studio and showrooms. For ten years (2002-2012) Beaufort displayed contemporary designs in a Belfast showroom on the Lisburn Road, before consolidating in the Moira headquarters and extending the property there to include both classic and contemporary styles.
For eight years (2016-2024) Beaufort presented its soft-furnishing manufacturing services, primarily to the trade in the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, London.
Beaufort continues to operate all across the UK & Ireland, with several projects in Europe and beyond.
