With a focus on refreshing the space while preserving the home’s classic character, this beautiful summer-room now embraces an abundance of natural light through its 180° bay window.

Replacing the previous straight sofa with two “Amelia” armchairs by Duresta opened up the room, highlighting the generous scale of the bay in a way it never had before. Using soft greens and blues as the foundation of the colour palette, complemented by accents of navy, chocolate, and cream, created a harmonious balance of fresh and airy, yet subtly moody to connect with the adjacent rooms. Heathfield lighting provides a gentle, atmospheric backdrop to the scheme, offering the client a range of lighting options to enjoy the room at any time. The result is a calm, inviting space that feels effortlessly refined and beautifully connected to the rest of the home.

We went to Beaufort Interiors in Moira in late 2024 to scope what ideas they might suggest to completely update and transform a tired living room with a large feature bay window. Our first encounter led to a meeting with Kathryn who turned out to be our ‘go to’ designer for ideas and colour schemes.

Kathryn was really understanding in relation to what we might want to achieve yet took time to expand our ideas and provide great advice and direction when we weren’t sure. She had exceptional ideas in relation to the scheme and her mood boards were really helpful. Kathryn was always supportive and ready to examine ideas and connections to furniture, lighting, fabrics, colour scheme and structure.

She worked alongside us as the project developed providing updates and connecting with specialist tradespersons when necessary.

The outcome has been astounding and we can’t recommend Beaufort and Kathryn highly enough.
