Private Residental

Guest Suite in Antrim

Client: Private Residential

Location: Antrim

Our client asked us to consider their guest bedroom, and its ensuite which was originally formed in the corner of the space creating an awkwardly-shaped bedroom. Relocating the ensuite to the end of the space allowed for a more spacious bathroom whilst also creating a relatively square-shaped (and much more usable) bedroom. The use of a glass partition meant that both areas now enjoy much better daylight.

Our client was attracted to warmer tones, and a more modern styling with clean lines and variety of texture. We proposed Roman blinds with stepped pelmets and blackout rollers beneath rather than curtains on both windows; heavily textured scatter-cushions, bed throw, and a dark shaggy carpet that co-ordinates with the upholstered bedframe (with easy-to-use tip-up under-bed storage and adjustable slats). Even the doors of the wardrobe are covered in tecno-leather with embossed grain. Stepped coving around the ceiling hides decorative LED strip-lighting that emphasises the textured wallcovering on the ceiling, whilst the interior lighting of the wardrobe adds functionality, and the centre ceiling-fitting brings a touch of glamour.

“We are so pleased with the change in this room – the only thing is that I now prefer it to my own bedroom, so guests might have to stay in there instead!”
